Misses
I am going to miss these two women tremendously. The baby, we’re taking her with us. Marly and Jessica have been such an integral part of my life for the past four years. Though Jessica and I have seen each other less since I’ve been pregnant, and then since I’ve been a mama, we still do see each other and I always know that she’s close. Maybe that transitional period will make it easier… I doubt it though. I realized today that I’m going to miss both of you more than I even realized. Sigh. Much, much, much love to two amazing ladies who mean the world to me. You are two of my best friends and I’m leaving it at that.
Marly, get Skype. Jessica, I’ll be tweeting and IMing (and Skyping too).

Moving stories
We’re going to be moving soon, so new house ideas are on my mind. And, Indie will be getting her own room (but who knows when she’ll actually use it since she digs sleeping with us). So, without further ado. Just some ideas, inspiration, and pretty pictures.

She’s here!
Indira Skye, born March 11 at 2:16 pm. 6 lbs, 15 oz. We’ve been busy hearting her since then. And she’s been busy giving us a run for our money.

What the future holds
This. In my room when I have one of my own again. Well, not exactly this. Similar to this but with a quote that I choose or create – and Dave will do the artwork (I’ll be art director on the project). Ha. And then, we’ll have it printed in vinyl. Can’t wait to have a spot for something like this! Once we’re somewhere at least a little more permanent.

Beauty
I read this poem by Mary Oliver on Honey at the Table and I just had to post it here. It’s beautiful. (She happens to have some beautifully appropriate photos posted with it). Thanks for the inspiration! I think I need to pick up a book of Mary Oliver’s poems…
You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves.
Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine.
Meanwhile the world goes on.
Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain
are moving across the landscapes,
over the prairies and the deep trees,
the mountains and the rivers.
Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air,
are heading home again.
Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting –
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things.
~ Mary Oliver
